While we often love a 1966 Volkswagen Beetle for its vintage style, this one is much more than that. The mean stance and full custom driver-oriented interior certainly tell you that. And under the hatch is quite a strong flat-four.
The white paint has a nice pearlescent glow, and so it lets the sunlight show off the classic VW silhouette we all love. But while that upgrade is subtle, the rest is not. You can tell this is a bada$$ Beetle by the full upgraded yellow headlights that lead the way. You'll also pick up on little details like the sport mirrors and racing gas cap trim. Along the side, the EMPI polished wheels (w/negative camper in the rear) really show off the lowered suspension. And the polished exhaust pipe peeks out of the rear to hint at the power within.
The pearl white returns inside, but that might not be what first catches your eye. This was built with a real speed machine style. That's why you have a four-point roll cage that was drilled for lightness. And many of the interior stampings were bored to match. It truly looks like a racecar, right down to the smooth aluminum door panels. There are Braum racing seats that are modern units finished in soft leather. So they look like this classic VW borrowed modern Audi RS seats. There are some fun details here, too. The display toggle switches are drilled for lightness just like the panels. And while the headliner was taken out, that means you get to see the mechanical workings of the sunroof. It was built to be a strong driver with an upgraded wood and chrome steering wheel, large oil temp and pressure gauges, and an EMPI floor shifter w/reverse lockout.
The motor was built to be put on display. After all, the bold and tidy red presentation seems to glow even more against all the white of the car. More than just stylish, this powerhouse has serious substance. We have a receipt from 2016 with $4,300 invested in building this motor. It's a 1915cc unit built with aluminum intakes, dual Weber 44 carburetors, 120 lift cam, and an upgraded exhaust. It's made for performance driving with the four-speed manual transmission built paired to a lightened flywheel, Stage 1 pressure plate, and HD clutch. And a nice set of modern tires help add grip to this nimble Beetle.
Complete with maintenance records, this is a unique and speedy Beetle that's a lot of fun. So at a price like this, you know you need to hurry on this deal. Call today!!!
