      <title>1972 Buick GS</title>
      <link>https://hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/buick/gs/1972/listing/251910</link>
<description>INTRODUCTION: Just 14,942 actual miles on this extraordinary Stage-1! Widely regarded as one of the best preserved survivor Stage-1s in existence. This is, in my opinion, one of the best survivor muscle cars period! Special ordered in highly desirable black, it is loaded with an impressive list of features, all documented by the original window sticker and factory order form. Do you know what the fastest car in 1972 was? You guessed it- the 1972 Stage-1!

EXTERIOR: It is extraordinary that this car presents so sharply while remaining all original. It is absolutely rust free, retaining its original body panels, which are straight, undamaged, and fit exceptionally well. It is also claimed to wear its original paint and you would have to look very closely to find even the slightest imperfection. The black was a special order color costing $113 extra. It shows beautifully. All of the chrome and trim is bright, straight, and in excellent condition. The original vinyl top remains in outstanding shape. Even the original windshield is crystal clear, along with the rest of the glass. Some unique features include the ram air hood, red stripes on the rockers (unique to 455s), optional sport mirrors and the N25 rear bumper exhaust cutouts. It sits proudly on 15x7 chrome Buick mag wheels wrapped in Goodyear Polyglas GT tires, giving it an unmistakably period correct stance.

INTERIOR: It is nothing short of amazing! This is a true survivor, with what appears to be all original from the carpet to the headliner, and it presents like new. There is virtually no visible wear, tear, or aging anywhere inside the cabin. It is optioned out with the desirable deluxe interior package, featuring notchback bucket seat with a center armrest, a deluxe steering wheel, factory gauges, and a tachometer. It also includes the factory AM/FM radio along with an 8-track player for the full period correct experience. The deluxe steering wheel shows no signs of wear, the ashtray is spotless, and the cigarette lighter looks like it may have only been used a couple of times. Even the original floor mats are still looking good. Interiors this original and this well preserved are exceptionally hard to find!

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood lies the torque monster 455 Stage 1 engine, original to the car and never removed. It retains its original components, including the manifolds, carburetor, distributor, and more. Stage-1 models were uniquely dressed with chrome valve covers, and this one's Ram Air system is complete, right down to the heat riser tube. Additional features include power steering and power brakes. It appears to retain the original brake booster, with remnants of the factory tag and original paint markings still visible. The engine compartment presents as a very clean, well preserved original space that has been properly maintained as needed.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: I'm going to geek out over this true time capsule trunk compartment! Under the trunk lid and in the jambs, you'll find clean original black paint with factory seams still visible, along with the original decal still in place. Even the weatherstrip is the original, complete with the position indicator marking at the top. Inside is something rarely seen today- authentic factory applied spatter finish paint, not from a spray can, and it remains in remarkably good condition. It also includes an original Buick GS mag wheel and tire, along with the correct jack assembly. This is exactly how it would have looked back in 1972.

UNDERSIDE: Underneath, this car is exceptionally well preserved and has been properly maintained as needed over the years. The metal floors, braces, rockers, frame, and chassis components are completely rust-free, dry, metal throughout. It is equipped with the desirable Rallye suspension package, which includes front and rear sway bars, boxed rear control arms, and upgraded handling characteristics. The shocks have been replaced as part of regular maintenance. It is also believed to retain its original dual exhaust system, exiting properly through the rear bumper for that unmistakable factory Stage 1 look. The brake system has been maintained, featuring front disc brakes, and the emergency brake remains hooked up and functional. The fuel system is also in excellent condition. Looking up at the engine, details remain impressively authentic, including an AC Delco oil filter and the correct original starter. Backing the engine is the legendary Turbo 400 BB transmission, used exclusively in Stage 1 models. This transmission is original to the car and VIN-matching. Out back, the original rear end still carries its desirable 3.42 Posi gears, completing an original drivetrain.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: You may have heard this before: "You can restore cars as many times as you want, you can never make them original again." This is truly a rare opportunity to buy a highly desirable muscle car in remarkably fantastic survivor condition. Don't regret it later, contact sales today!

Vehicles are displayed in a museum setting. Admission applies without an appointment and is refunded with purchase, including a one-year museum membership.

<description>1972 Buick GS 350 Gran Sport – True Barn Find, 12K Original Miles This is a true barn find: a 1972 Buick GS 350 Gran Sport that remains unmolested and highly original, showing just 12,000 original miles. Opportunities like this are extremely rare, especially with this level of originality and documentation. The car retains its original numbers-matching 350 V8, which runs strong, and the automatic transmission shifts properly, making it a solid mechanical survivor. All factory air-conditioning components are still present, an important detail for collectors looking to preserve originality or complete a correct restoration. The car still sits on its original wheels, further emphasizing how untouched this GS is. The interior is original and shows age, and will need restoration, but it provides an excellent template for a correct refurbishment or preservation-style build. This Buick represents a rare chance to own a low-mileage, factory-original GS 350 that has not been modified, restored, or altered over the decades. Whether you choose to restore it, preserve it, or carefully recommission it, this is a once-in-a-lifetime find for any Buick or muscle car enthusiast. Clean title in hand.
