      <title>1965 Chevrolet Corvette</title>
      <link>https://hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/corvette/1965/listing/257006</link>
<description>INTRODUCTION: This is a Corvette that stops you in your tracks! The Milano Maroon Metallic paint paired with the crisp white interior is a stunning color combination, and the fresh restoration has it looking absolutely showroom clean. It's the real deal with its #s-matching drivetrain, L76- 365 horsepower 327, 4-speed, 4.11 Posi, and chambered exhaust, making it every bit as exhilarating to drive as it is to admire.

EXTERIOR: Man, is this a good looking Corvette ! The 1965 C2 coupe is one of the most iconic automotive designs ever created, with its sleek boat tail styling, dramatic curved rear window, and hidden headlights. This example is especially impressive. The body is laser straight, with no noticeable damage, and the panel alignment is excellent. The headlights operate properly, the doors shut with a solid, precise feel, and the overall fit and finish are outstanding. It has been refinished in its original Milano Maroon Metallic, and the quality of the paint is exceptional- arguably better than when it left the factory. The finish is smooth, glossy, and beautifully laid out. Nearly all of the chrome and trim appears to have been restored or replaced, including the stainless moldings around the windows, the fuel filler door, and the correct power antenna. It is also equipped with the desirable optional backup lights. The front and rear glass have been replaced with correctly marked reproduction pieces, while the weatherstrips and seals have all been replaced. Completing the look are a set of reproduction BFGoodrich Goldline tires wrapped around mint spinner wheel covers, giving this Corvette the authentic showroom appearance it deserves.

INTERIOR: The white interior against the rich maroon exterior is a stunning combination, and this one is exceptionally crisp and clean. The seats immediately stand out with their firm cushions and new, wrinkle free upholstery, giving the cabin a fresh, factory new appearance. The white door panels, sun visors, and headliner have all been replaced as well. The entire instrument panel has been beautifully restored. The dash pads are new, the gauges have been restored, and even the factory clock is working. The AM/FM radio and power antenna both function properly, while the glove box door and liner have been replaced. Down on the console is the correct reverse lockout shifter, and the interior is finished with reproduction Bow Tie seat belts and fresh carpet from front to back. Every detail comes together to create a beautifully restored interior that's as inviting as it is authentic.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has been completely restored and detailed to factory specifications, presenting as though it just rolled off the showroom floor. At its heart is the VIN # matching 327 making 365 horsepower. It features solid lifters, high-compression pistons, the correct factory aluminum high rise intake, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor. The engine is easily identified by its distinctive finned aluminum Corvette valve covers, a hallmark of the high horsepower engines. The attention to detail throughout is outstanding. It retains the correct fuel filter, choke tube, and ignition shielding, along with the factory deep-groove pulleys designed to keep the belts in place during high-RPM driving. Every component appears fresh, including the correctly dated radiator and expansion tank, reproduction hoses, the proper air cleaner assembly, and all the brackets, hardware, and finishes. It's an exceptionally authentic, factory correct engine bay that's worthy of the outstanding Corvette it powers.

UNDERSIDE: It certainly appears this Corvette received a body-off-frame restoration, and the results are outstanding. The chassis is exceptionally clean and neatly detailed from front to back. It features the Corvette's fully independent suspension at all four corners, which is in excellent working order. 1965 was the first year for factory disc brakes, and it's at all 4 wheels. The emergency brake assembly is complete and functional, and the optional chambered off-road exhaust gives the car its unmistakable aggressive growl. Looking up at the drivetrain, the engine is spotless in the correct Chevy Orange finish. It's backed by the correct M20 4-speed manual transmission and the original 4.11 Positraction rear end, complete with the proper casting dates and identification codes. The original fiberglass floor panels appear to have been well preserved and have been cleaned up beautifully. Even the spare tire carrier is complete and properly in place, rounding out an underside that's every bit as impressive as the rest of this beautifully restored Corvette.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.

CONCLUSION: This beautiful Corvette has the kind of crisp, detailed restoration that I really appreciate. It's exceptionally clean, factory correct, and beautifully presented. And when you're not admiring it in the garage or at a car show, you can be out shifting through the gears, listening to the unmistakable sound of the chambered exhaust behind that #s-matching L76 365 horsepower engine. It's the kind of Corvette that's just as exciting to drive as it is to own.

The finish has been polished to a deep, glass like shine. The chrome, stainless trim, and brightwork are all in excellent condition, and the factory power antenna is fully functional. The side exhaust not only gives the Corvette an aggressive appearance, but also produces one of the most exhilarating exhaust notes you'll ever hear. INTERIOR: It has been beautifully restored to factory condition and presents as fresh as the rest of the car. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is a concours quality restoration centered around its original VIN-matching 327/365 horsepower L76 engine. This high performance small block retains the correct casting numbers and date codes and features high compression, solid lifters, a hotter camshaft, a factory aluminum intake, and the correct dual feed Holley carburetor. The finned aluminum valve covers instantly identify it as the legendary L76. The engine compartment has been restored to factory correct standards, right down to the ignition shielding, proper overspray on the exhaust manifolds and water pump hose. It has the correct glass bowl fuel filter, correct fuel and choke lines, factory air cleaner, deep-groove pulleys, and the correct belt tensioner. Date coded components include the distributor, alternator, radiator, and expansion tank, while the reproduction hoses, clamps, and spring-ring battery cables complete the authentic presentation. Best of all, this isn't just a beautiful engine bay to admire- the high-revving L76 is a serious performer that can hold its own against many of the big block Corvettes!

UNDERSIDE: This Corvette received a meticulous, professional body off frame restoration with an emphasis on factory correct detail. The frame was completely stripped, refinished in black, and every component was restored to replicate its original factory appearance right down to assembly line markings. It features fully independent suspension front and rear, with the steering and suspension completely rebuilt. As the first year for four-wheel disc brakes, the entire braking system has been restored, including new lines, hoses, and a functional e-brake assembly. Looking up at the drivetrain, the engine is spotless in correct Chevy Orange and includes the correct numbered starter, canister style oil filter with decal, lower ignition shielding, and even the proper factory overspray on the bellhousing. It retains its original #s-matching Muncie 4-speed transmission, with a rebuilt driveshaft leading back to the original 3.73 posi rear end. The fiberglass floors are exceptionally clean in their correct natural finish, and the complete spare tire carrier is still in place, reflecting the outstanding quality of this restoration.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.

CONCLUSION: You can buy this Corvette with complete confidence. Its NCRS Top Flight Award and outstanding documentation all confirm you're looking at a truly exceptional example. <title>1965 Chevrolet Corvette</title>
      <link>https://hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/corvette/1965/listing/255097</link>
<description>The C2 Corvette represents one of the most iconic eras in American performance, and few combinations capture that spirit better than a Nassau Blue 1965 Coupe backed by a high-revving small block and a 4-speed manual transmission. This is the kind of Corvette that reminds enthusiasts why the mid-year cars continue to sit at the top of so many wish lists decades after they first rolled out of St. Louis.

Finished in factory-correct Nassau Blue (FF) over a Blue (415) interior, this Corvette has been cared for by the same owner for the past 29 years and comes accompanied by its original owner's manual and Protect-O-Plate. While the car benefits from an older restoration, it remains an impressive and highly presentable example today. The paint continues to show well, the body lines remain crisp, and the panel fit is notably good throughout, giving the car the purposeful and athletic appearance that made the Sting Ray such a sensation when new.

Power comes from its original 327 cubic-inch V8, originally delivered in 300-horsepower specification before being professionally rebuilt to desirable 365-horsepower L76 specifications during the restoration. The engine was blueprinted and balanced with combustion chambers CC'd and upgraded with stainless-steel valves, triple valve springs, ported cylinder heads, the original high-rise intake manifold, a Holley 600 CFM carburetor, and the correct 365-horsepower air cleaner assembly. Paired with the M20 4-speed manual transmission and a one-off Hayes dual-disc competition clutch, it delivers the crisp throttle response, exhilarating acceleration, and unmistakable soundtrack that made Chevrolet's legendary small-block one of the greatest V8 engines of its era.

Beyond its striking appearance, this Corvette has benefited from extensive mechanical and cosmetic attention including a completely renewed suspension, stainless-steel brake components, an aluminum radiator, new heater core, rebuilt and silk-screened gauges, and a new gear shift assembly. The interior has been refreshed with new leather seat covers and carpeting, while the bodywork and paint were completed by the respected craftsmen at Art's Corvettes, helping preserve the timeless lines that continue to define the C2 Corvette.

For many enthusiasts, the appeal of a classic Corvette lies in finding an example that can be driven, enjoyed, and proudly shown without the anxiety that often accompanies a freshly completed concours restoration. This Corvette embodies that philosophy beautifully. It presents with confidence, has matured gracefully since its restoration, and offers the kind of honest character that encourages you to turn the key and head for your favorite winding road. With its iconic Nassau Blue finish, four-speed manual transmission, upgraded small-block V8, and nearly three decades of dedicated ownership, this 1965 Corvette Coupe is far more than a collectible. It's an American sports car built to be experienced, and one that is ready to create memories for its next caretaker.

      <link>https://hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/corvette/1965/listing/243529</link>
<description>1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. Originally a 327/300 h.p. car in Tuxedo Black with white rag top and black hard top. It is not a #'s matching car. Only 65,000 original miles. A brand new 350 engine was installed with rebuilt fuelie 2.02 heads, an aluminum Edelbrock intake, etc. to build out a 350/400 h.p. roller engine. It has less than 600 miles on it. The original 4 speed shifts flawlessly. Options include original telescoping steering column with the original gorgeous teakwood wheel, factory 4 wheel disc brakes (rare), original AM/FM radio that works, power antenna, clock (just quit working last week), heater (works great), auxiliary hard top (nice but not perfect). All of the glass is excellent. The birdcage and frame are perfect with never any rust. The white soft top is in excellent condition as are the door panels. Original shifter and console are nice. Could really use new carpet. Dash and components are nice. New side exhaust (it was originally optioned on this car). The emerald green metal flake paint is just good driver quality with numerous paint chips fixed and was done in the early 80's. The body received the following modifications from the California dealer where it was sold new: custom mild flaring on the front fenders and top of rear wheel openings, the front bumper and the side mirror on the door were removed, and a backup light was installed making a total of 6 lights instead of 4. The current owner has installed factory style mirrors on both doors (not shown) for drivability. There are a few small stress cracks over the right rear wheel that are surface and do not go through that would be simple to fix . This was the custom look everybody in California wanted for their Vette back in the mid to late 1960's. There are likely few left. It has all new front and rear suspension bushings and KBG gas shocks in both the front and rear. It rolls on American Racing slotted dish mags wrapped in new 215/70/R15 radial tires.</description>

<description>1965 CHEVROLET CORVETTE ROADSTER Full Race Roadster - POWERFUL Logbook Fuel cell Straight Headers 427 c.i. 435 HP Core Beau Racing Seats No Windshield This car has been perfectly maintained by a car collector. Primo condition! owned the car for a number of years but never raced it.. It is absolutely a full race car. I had a switch installed for brake lights,, but that's about it for being street legal... no turn signals, no gas gauge only a 10 gallon fuel cell, no wipers or emergency brake or mufflers of any type..It would need a new exhaust I . I believe it is a 454 truck motor with straight headers, a very agressive cam and close ratio tranny for racing.. There is also a reverse lock out. Tires and wheels are several years old but very fresh with a maximum 30 miles total use on both in the time I've owned the car.there is absolutely no smoke when the engine is running. Driven to coffee and on dates. Car is loud with straight headers and a built 454 and a racing transmission built by a Nascar mechanic, freshly recharged fire suppression system. <description>1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

For consignment, a 1965 Bowtie warship, (Corvette), with an era-correct 327ci V8, red fiberglass, nice new black interior, and 45,051 non-verifiable miles.  All restored to very good condition, and we now have a classic for your driveway and ultimate enjoyment.  Turn the key and be off!

  Exterior
Code 900FF has been changed to an eye-catching Rally Red bathing the fiberglass showing some areas of distress, along with inclusions, and touch ups that can be seen if you look very closely as well as some minor chipping along with hazing of the finish in a few areas.  With the split wrap around new bumpers, hidden headlights, newly designed grille and an added L88 style hood, the design for the front of this car is meant to slice through the air.  A chromed trimmed windshield surround and sleek rear of this car, add to the allure and a Corvette wouldn't be a Corvette without more new split wrap around bumpers and round tail lights.  These year 'Vettes really had the shark/stingray look.  A clean and tear free white canvas top in convertible form is atop, and sports a clear plastic rear window, as well as moves up and down with ease.  All this aero art form sits upon deep dish 15-inch Chevrolet rally wheels and all wrapped up in blackwall 215/70R15 rubber to complete the "look".

  Interior
Supple and like new black leather covers the bomber style low back buckets, presenting with just the slightest bit of usage wear, have a center console racing past them and up to the dash it goes.  Here it ascends skyward housing the vertically mounted factory AM/FM/Cassette radio, and temp control knobs with a large chronograph clock in the center.  From here the dash spreads out using 2 eyebrow arched panels, the driver's side housing the gauge and knob cluster, and the passenger side the brushed aluminum panel glovebox.  Black padded vinyl covers the dash top "eyebrows" and is all in excellent condition.  A 3 spoke wood steering wheel sits atop the column and fronts this clean and mean dash, adding a touch of warmth to the overall interior.  Speaking of warmth, very nice black carpeting is flooding the floors, and a shout out to the door panels which are also near perfection with their molded plastic and chrome trimmings with chromed cranks, actuator and pulls.  Behind the passengers a flip up tonneau black fiberglass hinged panel covers not only the top in the down position, but also a slightly bunched up but like new black carpeted storage area.

  Drivetrain
Under the flip forward hood is an example of machined art with a full metal jacket non original 327ci V8 circa 1964-1967 and based on the casting date, narrows this down to 1967.  This is looking fine with M/T ribbed aluminum valve covers, a single Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor underneath the chromed air cleaner cover, and the mixture is sent through a dull finished aluminum intake manifold.  A patina finish is noted throughout this simple yet functional engine bay.   On back is the numbers matching Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission which carries power rearward to an AW stamped 3.08 geared Positraction rear axle assembly and puts the power to the pavement.

  Undercarriage
Restored but carefully used are the buzzwords down below.  Mostly structurally sound black steel and fiberglass with just a hint of road dirt and patina.  Dual exhaust snakes its way down from the headers bolted to the engine and the piping runs rearward and passes through a pair of stock style mufflers before exiting under the rear roll pan.  Disc brakes are on all 4 corners and an independent coil spring front suspension is complemented by a frame anchored fully independent rear suspension with transverse leaf springs.

  Drive-Ability
A pump of the gas and twist of the key and we were left with a super quick starter that settled into a smooth idle and upon the press of the accelerator, a quick response to move forward, so it was off to the test track.  Here it handled like it was on rails, had bias free panic stopping, and fantastic acceleration from that all buttoned up 327ci power plant.  All was functioning as it should during my time behind the wheel.  While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

An overall very nice example of the 1965 convertible Corvette that you don't have to be afraid to enjoy and drive.  The color, (Red), the right top (convertible) and a non-original but peppy drivetrain, and on the prowl for its next victim. "When the shark bites...."
