1932 Ford Other

INTRODUCTION: A famous Jay Ohrberg custom! Not only is this a hot rod with historical significance, it's an undisputed centerpiece wherever it appears! This twin-engine hot rod delivers shock, awe, and unapologetic horsepower. Jay has an endless portfolio of wildly custom cars, Guinness Book record holding vehicles, movie cars etc that he has dreamt up and built. In the early 1980s as Jay was building this '32 Hot Rod, in typical Jay fashion he thought it needed more. He wanted something that would blow people's minds and grab every person's attention. That's when he decided to stretch the frame 3 feet and make room for a second 454 big block! Jay named it "Pinocchio" and it did what he wanted it to: attract attention! It went on the show circuit nationally and internationally winning too many top awards to list! The Hot Rod show world was lining up for photo shoots. In the early 2000s the car was given new life after being in a long term hibernation. Renamed "Double Trouble" it was given a mild makeover and again successfully taken on the show circuit. We were honored to have it on display in our museum and with regret it's time to rotate it out for something different. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.

EXTERIOR: Jay bought a Westcott roadster body with a rumble seat. He put the wipers in the cowl, rather than on top of the windshield, (this is the only one I've ever seen like this). He frenched the power antenna, recessed the license plate and made a louvered cover over the gas tank. He also stretched the hood long enough to cover 2 big block motors. The one of a kind hood is included but is currently displayed without it, after all, the motors are the stars of the show! It was painted a classic hot rod red and still looks beautiful today, polished smooth and glossy. It also has some pinstripes with gold leaf details. The headlights have high intensity bulbs and 1939 tear drop taillights with blue dots of course. The gray cloth convertible style top is removable, I think it looks best without the top and it shows off the custom windshield. The chrome windshield posts were chopped 2 inches and there is no frame on top of the windshield (or wipers) for a clean look. It's sitting tough on a set of polished Weld aluminum wheels, extra huge in back!

INTERIOR: There's double trouble inside too with 2 sets of gauges and 2 ignitions! That's right, you start each engine individually with separate keys. Each engine has its own oil and temp gauges but share a tachometer and speedometer. It was professionally upholstered including the underside of the top. The floor shift automatic looks like a manual shifter and there's a nice leather grip steering wheel.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Twin 454 big blocks for a combined 908 cubic inches and 1,000hp! Yes, this is functional and both engines run strong. Each was built the same: they have Comp cams, Moon intakes with 8 Weber carbs, Vertex magneto ignition systems and as if that wasn't enough both motors have Nitros. Each engine has its own starter and is started individually. In between the 2 engines are custom made sprockets with a heavy duty chain connecting them together. It's more practical to leave the chain off, both engines will be running and revving with one engine moving the car. If you are feeling adventurous, the chain is included with the car. They are dressed with finned valve covers and air cleaners. You see the exhaust, if people don't see you coming they will hear you! It runs cool with aluminum water pumps, a Walker radiator and electric fan.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's actually a rumble seat! It's completely finished and upholstered inside and the seat matches the front seat. Just step on the tire and hop on in!

UNDERSIDE: It was built to a show standards underneath too. He took a Duece Factory frame and stretched it 36 inches, it was also boxed and painted red. The front stainless trailing arms were also lengthened 3 ft. The front end is all chrome and features a Super Bell 4 inch drop axle, a steering damper, Posie Super Slide leaf spring, bat wings, and chrome shocks. In back is a 4 link suspension with polished control arms and swaybar, along with coilover adjustable gas shocks. There are disc brakes at all 4 wheels with polished calipers and backing plates in front. The fuel tank was custom made and notched around the rear end. It has an electric fuel pump and a chrome filter. Looking up at the motors (plural) they have extra capacity chrome oil pans, 2 chrome starters and a chrome flywheel cover. The Turbo 400 automatic has a B&M shift kit, polished aluminum pan and a remote oil cooler. A chrome driveshaft connects to a very cool Franklin quick change rear end with posi gears, a polished aluminum center section and extra oil capacity reservoir.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: Let's face it, people buy cool cars to get noticed, this one does that better than just about any car on the planet! Aside from that, it is an investment grade historical hot rod built by a famous car customizer. Just think of the fun you will have!

Vehicles are displayed in a museum setting. Admission applies without an appointment and is refunded with purchase, including a one-year museum membership.

1932 Ford Bar Top

You've seen the sofa's made from the backend of a Tri-Five Chevy. Maybe you have the front fascia of a car hanging on your garage wall, perhaps with functioning headlights! How about those tables with an engine as their base? Car parts make fantastic novelty furniture or decorative items and whether it's to accentuate the automotive theme of a particular business or museum, or to simply impress visitors, the sky's the limit for what can be done with some automotive sheet metal.

For consignment, an enclosed bar made from a 1932 Ford Roadster with removable legs that have wheels for mobility. This is a sure hit at your next party, company retreat, and perfect if you own one of those storage car clubs with a lounge.

 Description
Hand rubbed black urethane paint covers the Ford in inky smoothness and its full sized grille is flanked by working headlights. In the back, the gauge cluster also illuminates the simulated red gauges. Rolled and pleated red vinyl lines what would be the kick panels. Authentic style hood latches are on each side and the engine covers reveal with shelves and a floor below the handmade frame rails to hold ice buckets, bottles, or anything else that might fit. Every bar needs a mirror and there is one on the radiator side of the interior, cut to fit. There are under hood lights so even in the darkest party venue, you'll be able to see what bottle you're reaching for.

What a fantastic, unique novelty item that's perfect for a man cave or Daisy Den. It's a one of a kind work of art that allows you to keep open liquor in your car legally!

1932 Ford 40 Series 2 Door Sedan

'32 Roadsters of which 6,893 Deluxe and 520 Standard were made-were extremely popular with post-WWII hot rodders. The cars that had survived into the 1940s and 1950s were often chopped, channeled, and sectioned with bigger and more powerful V-8s from the likes of Ford, the General and Mopar all getting shoehorned in place of the original V8-60. It broke the mold when it debuted with a powerful, flathead V-8 under the hood-but what was under the hood was almost overshadowed by the stunning, waterfall grill that stood ahead of the engine and the elegant body work that wrapped around and behind it.

For consignment, a "Deuce" hot rod. It has been modified a bit with a shaved hood ornament, stainless steel tank in front of the grille, no side cowls and fenders along with some hot flames licking rearward from the grille. Salt flats here we come.

 Exterior
This nice solid all Henry factory steel car has smooth body panels and well minded gaps to make it a really nice rod. With a stainless horizontal mounted tank in front of the vertical ribbed grille and chromed headlight casings on either side, dropped front suspension all exposed it is looking lighter in weight to obviously go faster and play the hot rod part. Yellow to orange flames are lit up on the radiator cowl and hood and as they go to the windshield fade into a beautiful satin black. The passenger tub and rear of the car is all bathed in the satin black, and is rust free. A few small cracks are seen in this paint but they are sporadic. On back fenderless sides and a rear tank with just a small chromed bar for the bumper we see teardrop tail lights and a third brake light in the rear glass. Wheels are 14-inch front and 15-inch rear red painted steel with nice shiny trim rings in their edges and F O R D badged moons caps in the centers.

 Interior
Flame on! for the interior where door panels are molded to a custom design, then covered in a deep red canvas like broadcloth. Some billet cranks and actuators are in the red field. I stepped over flaming floor mats and sat upon high back buckets covered in more of the deep red canvas broadcloth. A nice red "couch" if you will is in the backend has side armrests built into it. All vertical surfaces and the headliner are also in the red canvas broadcloth. Hanging from the mirror are flaming dice and these hover over a curved original Henry design steel dash. It has a nicely deep inset aluminum panel that houses the VDO classic looking white faced gauges. Fronting the dash on top of a the column is a flaming billet red rimmed rally steering wheel with Ford oval in its center. A small billet style shifter is in a field of red carpeting on the floors and it has a red leather boot.

 Drivetrain
Under the open side cowled hood is a 350ci V8 with an orange block and some flame engraved valve coverings. For some added bling we see a cast scoop on top and it is covering a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. Also, a chromed alternator is in this playing field as are shiny headers and ribbed stainless hoses throughout. On the back is a Ford 9 inch 3.50 Equalock rear axle and pumpkin. All HOT and ready to roll.

 Undercarriage
Underneath is solid steel floor pans and framing which has slight areas of surface rust and road dirt. Since this car was built in the 90's it has some aging but overall remains nicely reserved. Glasspack style mufflers are on, and transverse front leaf springs with wishbones are there for the ride. In back, a 4 bar with transverse leaf springs keep the tires glued to the pavement. Disc brakes are in front and drums for the back.

 Drive-Ability
I was red with envy and felt hot driving this early 30's piece of flaming artwork. It ran great and handled well. Braking was nice and solid, and shifting is a breeze and all smooth on the automatic front. All functions were working as they should.

A 90's build still holding its own and looking the quintessential rod fender-less, side cowl-less, custom interior, 350/TH350 power plant flaming motif "Deuce". Drop the hanky and hold your hat!

1932 Ford Tudor
Take Inspiration from the Customs of the late '30's and early '60's. This '32 all steel Tudor is true custom built to be driven.
The 1932 Ford is the foundation of American Hot Rodding. Ultimately, building a classic Tudor with modern performance is setting the bar to a new level. So, the question is how far to go? In this case set a goal. First keep to a traditional look. Second make it drivable. Third has to be an all-steel car...NO FIBERGLASS! Fourth give enough performance to stand on its own.
Keeping to the traditional colors black finders and running boards. the body has to be deep Ford red. The body must remain stock. From the first glance the sedan is NOT to look like a show car. The paint has a little wear, a rock chip or two some would say patina (NO RUST). The interior is done in the classic mohair of the '30's, but there's much, much more than meets the eye. Has a full array of Stewart Warner gauges. For easy driving a tilt wheel steering column. The perfect touch a performance banjo steering wheel. Yes has Vintage Air that blows ice cold!
The frame is a work of art. Start by boxing in the frame and powered coat it in black. The most important aspect is to get the correct stance. The '32 needs the chassis to have the look and details of an original frame. The suspension components start with forged 1-piece design of annealed ductile iron I-Beam and super glide front cross springs. The ride is thanks to the chrome pro street rod shocks. Next a chrome 36" Curtis-style radius rods. Keeping to the classic look. The rear is a 9" Ford with custom ladder bars and adjustable coil over shocks. Performance needs braking power. This beauty has 4-wheel disc brakes. Riding on BFGoodrich T/A's P205/60R15 and P255/70R15 mounted on 71 series Street Rod Wire wheels. The correct look and stance has been achieved.
Power is from a built 350ci mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission. The Silver ceramic coated block hugger long headers. The dual 2.5" exhaust has a H-pipe. This '32 has a deep growler of a classic hot rod. If the crowd needs more the '32 is equipped with electric cut-outs!
This beauty is built to be driven. Lots of room for friends and family. This is your chance to own a classic all steel '32.
It's yours for $49,500.00!
This vehicle is located in Edmonds, Washington.
