<description>While so many trucks over the years have tried to convince us that they are tough and off-road-ready, one look at this 1976 Jeep CJ5, and it's easy to see what rugged really looks like. Repainted in this brilliant black, complete with hand-painted pin-striping, this CJ5 features exterior upgrades, including side steps, tow hitch, and stone guards for both the grille and headlights, to go along with an upgraded roll cage.

Inside, we find a clean, Spartan interior with a body-color dashboard, high-back vinyl bucket seats up front and a matching bench in back, added center console. A two-spoke steering wheel sits just ahead of a column-mounted 8,000-rpm tachometer, while a simple three-pod gauge cluster sits in the middle of the dash, and the floor-mounted gearshift sits next to the dual-shifter four-wheel drive transmission controls, further proving this truck's readiness to go off-road.

Under the hood, we find a 304-cubic-inch overhead-valve V-8 engine. A single two-barrel Motorcraft carburetor sits atop this naturally aspirated motor, while a stock-style manifold expels spent gases out through a chrome-tipped dual-to-single exhaust. That power is routed through a tried-and-true Borg Warner T-150 three-speed manual transmission before being sent to either the rear wheels or all four corners via the rugged Dana 20 transfer case, provided you engage the manually locking front hubs. Polished fifteen-inch wheels are wrapped in big 33-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires that look great on or off road.

  HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Full Black Repaint
 • Hand Painted Pinstripes
 • Front Stone Guards
 • Side Steps
 • Tow Hitch
 • Upgraded Roll Cage
 • 304 CID V8
 • Motorcraft Two Barrel
 • Borg Warner Three Speed Manual
 • Dana 20 Transfer Case
 • 15 Inch Wheels
 • 33 Inch BFG Tires
 • Center Console
 • Highback Bucket Seats

 • AM/FM/CD

This 1976 Jeep CJ5 rides on a factory-style suspension with traditional leaf springs at both the front and rear, while old-school drum brakes are ready to scrub off speed whenever called upon. If you have always wanted a truck that embodies what it means to be truly rugged, then this Civilian Jeep is as hardcore as it gets without being drafted. Don't wait, call today!
