<description>INTRODUCTION: True showstopper! This numbers-matching 442 was rotisserie restored and earned multiple concours awards. Backed by incredible documentation, including AACA judging sheets, Protect-O-Plate, original paperwork, and even a photo of its original owner in the showroom by the car on delivery day. Featured in Muscle Machines and Hemmings Motor News, this is a blue-chip collector piece.

EXTERIOR: This 442 has stunning curb appeal, refinished in its factory correct two tone combination of Spanish Red with a Provincial White roof. The body is pristine. Although the restoration was completed over 10 years ago, I could not find a bubble, crack, or any signs of bodywork- it is laser straight with excellent panel alignment. The gaps are spot on, and the doors shut with a solid, like-new feel. The red finish is exceptional, topped with three coats of House of Kolor clear that have been polished to a deep, glass like shine from the rockers to the roof. The factory painted pinstripe was properly duplicated, adding to its authenticity. The chrome, trim, and emblems all sparkle, the glass is crystal clear, and the weatherstrips have been replaced. Even the door jambs are detailed with care. It's finished off exactly right with correct T3 headlamps and sits on a beautiful set of chrome SS1 wheels wrapped in reproduction redline tires, giving it the perfect period correct stance.

INTERIOR: Inside is just as impressive, it's restored from carpet to headliner with a very meticulous touch, all redone in its original red color. The door panels and armrests look brand new, and the seats have been properly recushioned and upholstered for both comfort and appearance. The red carpet fits beautifully and is complemented by a set of reproduction Oldsmobile rubber mats as well as embroidered 442 carpeted mats. The original center console remains in place with the iconic 442 Hurst shifter, and it is equipped with a power seat for added comfort. All interior lights are working, and the original red deluxe seat belts are still intact. The dash area has been fully restored, the instrument bezel was rechromed, and it features a rebuilt rally gauge cluster with a tachometer. It also includes an optional AM/FM radio, along with a discreet set of auxiliary gauges mounted below the dash for more precise readings. Overhead there is a fresh, tight fitting headliner with matching visors. Even the small details throughout the interior are clean, tidy, and well executed.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely restored to factory specifications, this car proudly retains its original, born with 400 engine producing 350 horsepower. It's properly equipped with correct manifolds, carburetor, rechromed valve covers, and a factory W30 Ram Air system that has been correctly added. The distributor appears original and has been discreetly upgraded with PerTronix ignition internals for reliability. Even the spark plug wires are correct reproduction. It features power steering and power brakes for an enjoyable driving experience. It's very complete including the horns are in place, the washer system is fully hooked up, it has the dust shields over the suspension and it has proper underhood insulation. The cooling system is dialed in with reproduction hoses and clamps, and even the rubber radiator side seals are present. All the metal surfaces are clean, smooth, and neatly finished. It presents beautifully and runs just as strong.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk is fully restored and very complete. Under the lid is a glossy red finish with reproduction decals and a working trunk light. The jamb is clean with a new weatherstrip. Inside is solid metal, neatly finished with correct spatter paint and tidy wiring throughout. The restorer did not cut corners- this car is equipped with a fifth matching SS1 chrome wheel wrapped in a reproduction redline tire, a detail that really sets it apart. It's also complete with the jack, lug wrench, and correct trunk mat. The battery has been properly relocated to the trunk, just as the W30 was factory equipped.

UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame and placed on a rotisserie during the restoration, allowing every detail underneath to be addressed properly. The underside is all original, pristine metal that was carefully scraped, cleaned, and refinished in a smooth satin black, along with the chassis. It's equipped with the rally suspension, including front and rear sway bars and boxed rear control arms, all of which have been completely rebuilt. Even the details are right- factory style spiral shocks and assembly line tags have been reinstalled. The brake system has been fully rebuilt and upgraded with front disc brakes, and the e-brake is hooked up. The fuel system has been replaced, and it features a clean dual exhaust with correct crimped tailpipes and polished tips. It currently has cherry bomb style mufflers, and the correct mufflers are included. Looking up at the drivetrain, everything is clean and proper. The original Muncie wide ratio 4-speed has been rebuilt, and the restored driveshaft leads back to its original posi rear with 3.90 gears, also gone through. This is the kind of underside that will absolutely impress when you see it in person.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: This 442 comes with an assortment of extras, including books, shop manuals, the original dealer issued leather key tag, 3 sets of keys, photos of the restoration, and copies of its magazine features. It's not only a highly restored example- it's also everything a muscle car should be with its 400 Ram Air engine, 4-speed, and 3.90 posi! Turn the key, grab a gear, and you'll quickly remember what it's all about.

      <title>1967 Oldsmobile 442</title>
      <link>https://hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/oldsmobile/442/1967/listing/238481</link>
<description>INTRODUCTION: One owner for the first 40 years (until 2007), this heavily documented, numbers-matching genuine 4-4-2 is loaded with desirable options, including factory air conditioning and Rally Pac gauges. It is finished in a rare and highly attractive color combination on a rust-free car. Sold new at Bill Romel Oldsmobile in Redondo Beach, California, it comes with exceptional original paperwork: Protect-O-Plate, sales contract, purchase order, invoice, owner's manual, maintenance records, and documented ownership history. The car spent most of its life in dry climates-California, Las Vegas, New Mexico, and Texas.

EXTERIOR: A very impressive California body retaining all original metal. It is straight throughout with excellent panel fit, clean seams, and no rust or damage-door bottoms are solid and original. In 2008 the car received a high-quality repaint in its original Spanish Red, at a cost of over $15,000 (a significant investment at the time, especially on a rust-free car). The finish is smooth, glossy, and shows beautifully. Chrome and stainless trim are in very nice condition. It features reproduction T-3 headlights and rides on brand new BFGoodrich radial redline tires mounted on 15 inch SS1 chrome wheels. A bright white vinyl top provides striking contrast and completes the classic muscle-era look.

INTERIOR: The interior is in excellent condition and presents very well. The seats feature new red upholstery, complemented by new door panels, headliner, and sun visors. The carpet is in excellent shape and protected by new 4-4-2 floor mats. It retains its full set of red GM seat belts. The center console is in good original condition, and the dash area remains very well preserved. It is equipped with the rare Rally Pack cluster, including tachometer, gauges, and clock. The original AM radio plays clearly. Overall, the interior is clean, tidy, and inviting.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine bay has been restored and detailed to factory-new appearance. It houses the original 400 cubic-inch engine rated at 350 horsepower, presented in stock configuration down to the manifolds, air cleaner, valve covers, and decals. Factory features include power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. The A/C system has been rebuilt with new components and updated to R134a refrigerant. As a California car, it retains its original smog equipment fully installed.
Correct reproduction hoses, clamps, and wiring details have been used throughout. It features spring-clamp battery cables with a Delco battery topper. All metal surfaces are smooth and properly finished, wiring is neatly routed, and components such as the hood insulation, washer system, and radiator side seals are present and correctly installed. The result is a complete, highly detailed engine compartment.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk retains rock-solid original metal with no rust, patches, or repairs. The underside of the trunk lid and jambs are painted smooth gloss red, while the compartment itself is neatly finished in correct spatter paint.
It includes a new two-piece rubber mat and matching tire cover, along with a never-used fifth matching BFGoodrich tire for a spare. The complete jack assembly is present. Wiring is in excellent condition, the trunk light is functional, and the weatherstrip and decals have been replaced.

UNDERSIDE: Extremely impressive underneath. The metal is exceptionally clean-floor pans, braces, rockers, and lower inner quarters show no rust or repairs. Even the chassis surfaces are smooth, solid, and free of pitting. The underside has been cleaned and neatly refinished in semi-gloss black. Equipped with the Rally suspension package, it features boxed rear control arms and sway bars. The front suspension appears fully rebuilt, including ball joints, bushings, shocks, and steering components. The rear suspension has also been rebuilt with new bushings and shocks. A new factory-style exhaust system with correct crimped tailpipes is installed. The fuel system has been replaced, including tank and straps. It is equipped with rare front disc brakes; the system has been rebuilt with new hoses, and the parking brake is fully operational.
The bottom of the engine is spotless, with components such as the starter appearing new. The original Turbo 400 automatic transmission is clean and retains its original 1967 tag. The original dated and coded 10-bolt rear end houses 3.08 cruising gears.

CONCLUSION: This 4-4-2 is an absolute sweetheart and clearly a car that has been well cared for throughout its life. With exceptional documentation, a rust-free California body, desirable options, and outstanding presentation, it represents a wonderful opportunity for the next owner to acquire a truly special example.

      <link>https://hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/oldsmobile/442/1967/listing/238040</link>
<description>This is a real 442 with #s matching motor, trans and stunning factory colors! Believed to have 45,000 actual miles, it is exceptionally clean. Nicely Claimed 45,000 actual miles. I just acquired this car back from family I sold it to 6 years ago, they only put 70 miles on it! It was garage kept and just as beautiful as when we sold. It was just serviced in our shop and ready to be enjoyed!

EXTERIOR: Striking combination of slick black paint with no vinyl top, red pinstripe, redline tires and the chrome SS-1 wheels! Looking down the sides of the car they're both laser straight. The body panel gaps are flush and square. No signs of any bubbling, cracking or issues. I am also noticing on how well the bumpers fit the body, where they line up against the quarter panels and fenders is about as good as they get. In back the bumper, tail panel, emblems and tail light bezels are in mint condition. The door handles have been replaced, mirrors are real nice original. Side moldings are straight and polished. Up front the bumper, emblem, headlight bezels are really sharp looking. The windshield is crystal clear. The door jambs have been painted nice, new weatherstrips, sill plates and fuzzy window seals. The doors shut like new, even with the windows rolled up. Tires and wheels really look amazing on this car! They are upgraded to 15 inch and the tires are radials.

INTERIOR: It looks and functions like new! All of the chrome, lenses, bezels, dash pad look like new. The radio was serviced, original speaker restored, new glovebox liner with working light, restored ashtray. It has very desirable rally pac gauges with tachometer in the middle. New wiring harness. I have always said new carpet or seat covers are easy, restoring the dash area is much more difficult and this one is all done for you! It also has sport wheel, bucket seats and console.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s matching 400 engine. It was just completely rebuilt August 2017 and has very few miles since. Painted the correct bronze color. The carb is upgraded with a big Holley. Features include power brakes, power steering and rare cruise control. All the components, hoses, wires look neat and orderly. The trim tag on the firewall shows paint code A-A for Tuxedo black upper and lower and 5V indicates it is a 442.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick. Inside is clean, solid metal with a mat, trunk light and jack assembly. The trunk floor and 1/4 panels appear to be original the originals.

UNDERSIDE: Very solid metal. I dont see any signs of patching, the lower inner 1/4s are even clean. The bottom of motor is still clean, starter was replaced. It has the original Turbo 400 automatic trans, dated 1967 and code OG on its tag. The trans was also rebuilt. Upfront the suspension and steering have been rebuilt- new ball joints, bushings, shocks etc. In back it has the boxed control arms, sway bar and upgraded air shocks. The brakes were just serviced and have been upgraded to disc in front. Has air shocks. The dual exhaust has stainless mufflers.

CONCLUSION: This 442 is going to do more than "Wow" the onlookers, it's going to be a real pleasure to drive for its new owner too!
