Exterior Bright White two stage paint adorn the straight panels of this car with all composite bumpers on the front and rear that come together to form this aerodynamic F-body. A blue decal center stripe adds racy contrast and the "screaming chicken" on the nose pays homage to Trans Am of the past. A rakish front glass framed in black trimmings is at the pause of the blue stripe to make room for the removable smoke glass T-tops on the roof as we work our way to the back of the car. A curved greenhouse rear glass melts into a rear spoiler which matches the curvature of the glass and frames the rear of the car as well, just above another composite bumper is an elongated oval of honeycomb tail lights, another nod to the hexagon heritage of Trans Ams. Tailpipes are peeking out of the rear roll pan and look as though they have been molded into the body. White 5 spoke wheels are on all 4 corners and are wrapped in 245/50ZR16 black walls. Imperfections? Meh. A scuff on the body that can be compounded out, and the typical chin scrapes not visible from above. Interior Pristine sculpted door panels appear as though they were shaped by the wind greet us upon opening the doors. They are utilizing white inserts and black molded plastic to form the integrated armrest/door pull/power toggle housing and the speaker, all with the 25th Trans Am badge in the white field. Slipping inside, beautifully sculpted white leather buckets keep the wind swept forming scheme, and these have black tubs they fit within. 2 more of these beautiful buckets are in the back, now separated by the hump and all of this seating appears nearly new with only very light folds to note in the driver's bucket. Racing forward is a center console which has a glovebox, shift lever and cup holder. As the dash rises temp controls and an AM/FM/CD stereo with a built in equalizer is neatly mounted into this central space. A trio of round vents are near the center of the dash top. More windswept sculpting for the instrument cluster which has a beautifully curved arch with analog gauges in the cluster. Charcoal carpeting floods the floors and is very clean, as is the headliner that divides the T-tops. Lest we forget, more embroidery for the headrests noting the 25th Trans Am. Underneath that rear greenhouse glass is a charcoal felted trunk tub and a flat upper storage area. Drivetrain A 5.7 liter LT1 V8, which is rated at 275 horses is under the hood. There is a slight overall patina and some light corrosion on cast aluminum parts and we note the addition of an aftermarket cold air intake. EFI feeds the fires within and a 4L60E 4-speed automatic is strapped to the back of this original mill. Way back is a 10 bolt 3.23 Posi rear axle. Power disc brakes are on all four corners. Undercarriage Showroom fresh with only a light peppering of surface rust and very clean floor pans and toe kicks. Otherwise, its miles of grayish white steel for the unibody, flooring and rockers. Independent coil spring suspension for the front, and a torque arm with coil springs for the rear are supplied. Exterior Not like the days of yore with the screaming chickens, muscle engines, and 1980's lumbering styling.  NOPE!  This takes in a European aero look with hidden headlights, a rounded front with body matching neoprene bumper that slices through the air with efficiency.  Trimmings are also body matching including a belt line bump out, and a rear spoiler that wraps around the rear greenhouse glass.  Rounded inset tail lights are below the spoiler, and another neoprene body matching in Quasar Blue has cut outs on the bottom to highlight the dual dual exhaust pipes peeking out from underneath.  Tinted glass with black trimmings surrounds the passenger compartment giving plenty of viewing space from the raked back windshield and expansive rear glass. Between the front and rear glass we see some smoked glass removable T top panels.  16-inch 5 spoke wheels highlight the corners and are wrapped in 4th week of 2000 production rubber.   Interior The styling in euro design continues with the door panels which use molded black plastic for the door pulls and armrests as well as the door actuator, storage tray on the bottom and a small but mighty tweeter surround.  Stepping across the thresh-hold we see some sexy high back buckets that have uber curvaceous designs with tuck and roll inserts and some more tuck and roll on the side bolsters, and a sleek headrest on top.  In back, the hump breaks up the 2+2 seats in the same style as the front buckets and pristine black leather.  A black undulating center console is between the buckets and houses a glovebox and shifter.  As this rises to the center dash we see more black panels with climate knobs and a killer AM/FM/CD with EQ stereo system.  A trio of round vents is on the padded dash top.  In front of the driver is a semi circular dash with semicircular blackface gauges and orange pointers.  Charcoal gray carpeting floods the floors and above the tinted glass panels. Drivetrain Under the hood is a 5.7L LT-1 V8 which puts out 275hp.  It can leave the earlier versions of this car in the dust to say the least.  It is fed by EFI, and has a 4L60E 4-speed automatic tranny on back.  The rear axle is a 10 bolt, 2.73 posi version and it makes the rear tires smoke. Undercarriage Looking very factory, very clean, and very rust free with total structural unibody soundness.  Independent coil springs in front and a torque arm with coil springs works the ride for the back.  Power disc braking is on all 4 corners and a single exhaust with a Borla dual outlet muffler is seen in good condition. Drive-Ability A quick starter and effortless driver with some extra power which was unexpected.  It handled like it was on rails and it ran and stopped great.  A few frowns for the test drive in the AC blowing warm, it pulled right when driving, the power mirror up and down control is not working and the trunk signal stalk needs to be held when you want it to stay on.
