<description>1967 Pontiac GTO – Real 242 VIN | M21 4-Speed | Strong Running 400ci | Needs Paint/TLC Up for sale is my 1967 Pontiac GTO, a true muscle car legend with a solid foundation and plenty of recent mechanical work. This GOAT runs strong, pulls hard, and is a blast to drive with its Muncie M21 close-ratio 4-speed and 3.55 Posi rear end. While it still needs some cosmetic love (paint &amp; finishing touches), it’s a prime candidate for someone ready to take it to the finish line. Drivetrain &amp; Performance: 400ci V8 (Block cast date: L 08 1 – December 8, 1971) Rebuilt heads w/ new seats &amp; valve guides 2.11” intake / 1.77” exhaust valves New spark plugs &amp; head bolts New Edelbrock 1406 carburetor (600 CFM) Edelbrock Torker II intake manifold (re-surfaced) M21 Muncie close-ratio 4-speed w/ Hurst Competition shifter 3.55 Posi rear end New clutch assembly Mechanical Upgrades: Power steering &amp; power brakes New front disc brake conversion New heater core New wiper motor New fuel pump New rear coil springs New coil-over rear shocks New door locks VIN: confirms it’s a real GTO, not a clone Needs: Paint &amp; general TLC Minor finishing touches to complete the project The tires are in great shape, though you can spin them in all four gears — this thing moves! I'm just not in a position to finish it, and I'd love to see it go to someone who will appreciate and complete this iconic ride. Clean title in hand. <title>1967 Pontiac GTO</title>
      <link>https://hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/pontiac/gto/1967/listing/251780</link>
<description>INTRODUCTION: I'll be honest with you- it was the look and the sound of this GTO that first drew me in. But once I got up close, the true quality of the car became apparent, it has only 400 miles on the body off frame restoration finished in 2022. Then I learned it has factory air conditioning, and came with Pontiac Historical Services documentation. At that point, I knew I had to have it!

EXTERIOR: This GTO is a real stunner, and the combination of colors and wheels sets it apart immediately. The body is laser straight from front to back, including those long, dramatic Coke bottle quarter panels that define the era. I don't see any signs of rust or damage, and the panels line up beautifully throughout. Even the doors open and close with the solid feel of a new car. Repainted in its original Tyrol Blue, the metallic finish is laid out evenly, while the clear coat has been polished smooth as glass. All of the chrome and trim are straight, bright, and sparkle beautifully against the blue paint. The unique wire mesh grille used on the 1967 models gives the front end a distinctive and aggressive personality. The jambs are painted clean, the weatherstrips have all been replaced, and the vinyl top looks brand new. Both the front and rear glass have been replaced as well. Completing the look is a set of reproduction redline tires wrapped around vintage style Hurst wheels, a combination that absolutely puts this GTO over the top.

INTERIOR: It is wonderfully nostalgic, having been restored back to 100% factory condition. Slide behind the wheel and you're instantly transported to 1967. One of the coolest features is the iconic Hurst Dual/Gate shifter mounted in the center console, a signature muscle car touch that adds both style and function. Fresh carpet fits nicely on the floor, and it comes complete with a full set of GM seat belts. The seats have good cushion and have been fully reupholstered, while the door panels and armrests have also been replaced. The dash area is especially clean and well preserved, showing no signs of abuse. It features a new dash pad along with the proper woodgrain insert, and the original radio remains in place. The interior lights are working, including the glove box light, where you'll also find a new glove box liner. Out back, the rear mesh speaker tray has been replaced, along with a nice tight fitting headliner overhead. The original steering wheel does have a couple of typical cracks, but otherwise this interior captures the look and feel of a fresh 1967 GTO beautifully.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is the correct 400, properly date coded and stamped for the car. It has reportedly been rebuilt internally to H.O. specs and has a factory stock appearance on the outside. It retains the correct manifolds, and carb, along with fresh factory style valve covers and air cleaner assembly, giving the engine a detailed presentation. The pulleys, brackets, wires, and hoses all appear proper and fresh, showing careful attention to detail throughout. This is also a factory air conditioned car, and the system is functional for added comfort on warm days. Power steering makes cruising easy and enjoyable, while the stock cooling system keeps the engine running as it should. Finishing touches include a Delco battery topper, reproduction spring clamp battery cables, and a properly secured battery. Even the windshield washer squirters are hooked up, and all the metal finishes throughout the engine bay are painted and detailed very nicely.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid is nicely painted and detailed, complete with the proper decals, a clean latch assembly, and a neatly finished jamb area. The weatherstrip has also been replaced and the ¼ panel part numbers are still visible. Inside, the trunk features clean solid metal along with a reproduction mat and the wiring appears to have been replaced as well.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame for a thorough restoration, bringing the underside back to factory new condition. The floors are pristine original metal, beautifully detailed and finished in a smooth semi-gloss black. The chassis was prepped and painted to match, and the steering and suspension have been completely rebuilt and detailed. It features a factory correct Gardner exhaust system with correct staggered size mufflers and resonators in the tailpipes. The brake system has been fully redone, including new lines and e-brake cables. The fuel system has also been replaced, including the tank. Looking up at the engine, it has a very fresh, proper appearance, complete with the correct starter. It is paired with its original 1967 Turbo 400 automatic transmission, and a restored driveshaft leads back to the original rear end with nice cruising gears.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: Yes, there are other Pontiac GTOs out there, but they aren't this one! The Tyrol Blue paint, paired with redline tires wrapped around vintage style Hurst wheels, gives this car a look that truly sets it apart from the crowd. Add in the sound of the exhaust, which is pure music to any muscle car enthusiast, and this GTO becomes something special. The quality of the frame-off restoration alone goes a long way toward justifying the asking price. When you factor in the factory air conditioning, documentation, and standout appearance, everything else about it makes this one a no-brainer.

      <link>https://hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/pontiac/gto/1967/listing/251027</link>
<description>INTRODUCTION: A dream come true! You got the right colors, the right engine, and the right year. #'s matching high output 400 cubic inch V8. This car is highly optioned and restored back to factory condition. Only 1500 miles on the highly detailed, frame off rotisserie restoration! Also has great documentation with the PHS paperwork included. Can you feel the wind in your hair already?

EXTERIOR: Factory color! The Tryol Blue paint has been expertly applied with a high level of quality and attention to detail. The finish is glossy, reflective and very smooth to the touch. The dual side pinstripes are painted on by hand. The panels have all been wonderfully aligned with great consistent gaps that are spot on. All the glass has been replaced plus they have new rubber seals and fuzzy strips too. Both the bumpers and all remaining bright work look like new with a mirror like shine. It features an optional remote mirror and the sporty looking power antenna. It also has the correct T3 headlights and the mesh grilles are absolutely spotless.

INTERIOR: The pearl white interior not only looks cool-it stays cool, making a big difference on those hot sunny days. It's been completely redone with reproduction upholstery, door panels, and armrests, along with fresh carpet. It's full of desirable factory features like the iconic dual-gate, "his and hers" shifter in the center console. The dash has been restored and is complemented by a beautiful deluxe steering wheel on a tilt column. A full set of rally gauges keeps everything in check. Other options include power top and power antenna controls, along with a factory AM/FM radio. It also has the lamp group, reproduction floor mats, and a full set of factory seat belts. Finished off very nicely, this interior offers both comfort and classic style.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Picture perfect! At the heart of this car is its original, #s matching 400 H.O rated at 360hp. It features factory Ram Air exhaust manifolds, 670 heads, and an open element air cleaner. The entire assembly has been restored to factory specifications. It's well optioned with power steering, power brakes featuring a cadmium-plated booster, and the lamp group. Everything is complete and proper including the horns, secured battery, and fully, dust shields, and hooked up washer system. All metal surfaces are neatly painted for a clean, authentic appearance. It's been upgraded with an aluminum radiator.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Properly outfitted! The underside of the trunk lid is painted glossy just like the exterior. Additionally it includes reproduction jack stickers and a functioning light. Inside the jamb is painted to the same high quality and the weatherstrip was replaced. Inside is all rust free solid steel with a durable splatter finish paint. It is complete with a vinyl trunk mat, spare tire cover, spare tire, and jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: The body was lifted off the frame and mounted on a rotisserie so the underside could be restored to the same high standard as the top. The floors are pristine metal, finished in the same Tyrol Blue as the exterior and clear coated for a show quality presentation. The entire chassis was completely disassembled, prepped, painted, and rebuilt. That includes the steering and suspension, while the entire brake system was replaced and has front disc brakes. It has the correct factory style dual exhaust system, complete with staggered size mufflers, resonators, and optional tips. The fuel system was replaced, including the gas tank. Looking up at the engine, everything appears clean and fresh, including the fuel pump and starter. It retains its original Turbo 400 automatic transmission with the 1967 tag still on the side. In back is the original 3.55 Safe-T-Track rear end with correct codes and dates.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: From a longtime, passionate owner who took great pride in its restoration! He loved this car, it took a month for him to let it go. #s matching, PHS documented, loaded with factory options, and finished in fantastic colors. What are you waiting for?

<description>1967 Pontiac GTO 2dr Hardtop in Mahogany Metallic paint, has been repainted along the line. This real-deal 242-code GTO is powered by the era-correct 400 V8 with a 4-speed manual transmission. Paint shows well and has a nice shine to it overall, but there is a slight orange peel throughout the car. Equipped with power steering, 4bbl carb, Edelbrock intake manifold, aluminum radiator, power antenna, and power brakes. Chrome and brightwork looking good on this one. Riding on rally style wheels with Cooper Cobra white letter radials. Black vinyl bucket seat interior that has been redone by the previous owner. Seating surfaces are in great shape! Carpeting and headliner also looks solid. Aftermarket gauge cluster added below the dash. Speedometer is inop - missing a needle. This one is a bit cold blooded, you want to warm it up to 160 degrees to run nice. Aftermarket stereo in the dash is not working. Wipers and power antenna both do work.
