
Lincoln, Neb. March 17, 2015 – Day at the Hay – a brand new one-day-only event by has just been added to Goodguys Rod & Custom Association’s 2015 event schedule! Goodguys-Speedway Motors Day at the Hay will take place Saturday, June 27th at Pinnacle Bank Arena festival grounds in Lincoln, Nebraska’s Haymarket district. The event will feature a giant outdoor show & shine with awards for all years, makes & models of American made and American powered cars & trucks. Vendor exhibits, the Goodguys AutoCross, as well as live music will be featured. A special kickoff celebration for registered event participants will be held Friday evening June 26th at the Smith Collection Museum of American Speed – a short distance from the event venue.
The event boosts the 2015 Goodguys schedule to 22 events total – the most since 2004. “We’ve been looking at this facility for years now,” said Goodguys President Marc Meadors. Thanks to the Smith family and everyone at Speedway Motors as well as the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau, we now feel as though we have a great opportunity to bring a new Goodguys event to hot rodders of all ages in the plain states.”

The Pinnacle Bank Arena festival grounds, adjacent to the arena includes parking for up to 1,500 show cars, laser-smooth asphalt for the Goodguys AutoCross and an entertainment stage. The neighboring Haymarket District offers upscale dining, hotels and shopping. “Event participants are in for a real treat,” said Goodguys VP of Event Operations Harry Daviess. “Friday night’s festivities at the Smith Collection Museum will be a spectacular evening of hot rod camaraderie and museum tours. After a great day showing their cars Saturday, the Haymarket District will offer participants the perfect retreat. We’re looking forward to establishing this new Goodguys event in Lincoln, Nebraska.”
