Huge Hershey Swap Meet Coming Up

Author: John Gunnell

Each year, thousands of hot rodders head for the hills – the hills around Hershey, Pa. – to shop for parts at the biggest swap meet in the world.  Although the event is organized by a region of Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), there are many parts for sale that could fit on both hot rods and custom cars.

If you’re into high-performance machinery, the 2015 Hershey theme is “The Era of Big Block High Performance Cars” and the 50th Anniversary of the Shelby will be celebrated.  The dates are Oct. 7 thru Oct. 10.  Admission is free.

Over 250,000 enthusiasts attend Hershey, and a good share of them are into modified cars.  The swap meet (actually called a “flea market”) features 9,000 vending spaces.  On Saturday, 1,300 cars will be displayed.  There is also a Car Corral with 1,000 old cars for sale.
