All proceeds to Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services, an all-volunteer county-wide group which assists any cancer patient who resides in the county regardless of age or sex of patient or type of cancer. We assist with transportation, nutritional therapy, wigs, medical equipment and supplies, and limited amount of funds for medicine, fuel bills and rent. We also host an annual free survivors luncheon, distribute cheer bags and food cards.

This event is a fundraiser. Two local radio stations broadcast live from the event, interviewing survivors we have assisted. The Shriners club purchases, cooks and sells the food with all proceeds going to us. At noon, a large flag is raised by a very large crane honoring all veterans. Other businesses can also set up a booth and sell items. We award trophies, door prizes and goodie bags to paid entrants at the event.
