Tonight was the last in the series for this season of the Metuchen Downtown Cruise Nights, and as been the case for quite a number of this season’s Cruise Night, the one held this evening, was a “Rain Date” event. Unfortunately, though many complained when there weren’t “Rain Dates” in years past, tonight’s event had another thing in common with many of this season’s postponed Cruise Nights, a lackluster turnout, despite publicity about the “Rain Date.” At its height, there were maybe 20 cars on Main St tonight, a far cry from the usual turnout. Still in all, a nice evening, even if the participation numbers were low.
