Fat Man Fabrications has used a shim style alignment concept on the Stage III coilover and Stage V Shockwave options since their inception. As the venerable Mustang II IFS systems undergo constant evaluation for improvement, a shim style upper control arm design will now be seen on the Stage II coil spring and Stage IV air spring systems as well. Although Fat Man always has and will continue to use upper arm shafts that feature OEM style forged construction with stamped knurling rather than inadequate cast copies, this design evolution will completely erase any chance of the alignment slipping as can happen with a slotted upper arm mount.
