Ridler Winner ... “Deucenberg”

Deuce of Spades update:  When I set out to make DEUCE OF SPADES, I knew what I wanted and I also knew what I did not want. I knew I didn't want to make yet another "caricature" film of the fifties era. I didn't want to make another "Grease". I didn't want poodle skirts, big pompadours, big sideburns and "fifties" greasers combing their hair every two minutes. No. What I wanted was to bring the early fiftie's hotrod era to LIFE. Like it really was, not like Hollywood tries to make it look.

Anpac Car of the Month.Big Red", as this Ford F-100 was originally known, was purchased by its owner in 1968. It was used as a daily driver and to assist vehicles at the local racetrack. In November 1969, it won first place at the Ray Farner Car Show. Four teenagers all drove "Big Red" during their high school years. The truck was then garaged and years later recustomized, and given the new name "Arrest Me Red.  See the details here

Way Cool Woodie for the Goodguy Goodguys founder and Chairman Gary Meadors is workin’ on a new car with the help of some old friends. A 1948 Chrysler Town and Country convertible. Working off a sketch by Thom Taylor, Meadors has appointed Bob Bauder of Crestline, California as captain of the build team.

One of the great Southern California family events returns April 1 with the Prolong Twilight Cruise Night at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California.  ZDDP Oil Additive After 70+ years of trouble-free metal-to-metal engine protection, emission requirements for new cars is forcing the removal of ZDDP (zinc dialkyl dithiophospate) from domestic motor oil. If your engine was designed prior to the 1990s, the non-roller lifters lifters require ZDDP in the motor oil to avoid premature deterioration. Don't let the lifters run metal-to-metal. Keep ZDDP, via ZDDPlus, in your motor oil. Add a 4 oz bottle of ZDDPlus to every 4 to 5 quart oil

For 29 years SoffSeal, Inc. has led the way in the automotive restoration rubber market and each of those years the company has been led by its founder and President Gary Anderson. Unfortunately, Saturday March 7, Gary lost his long battle with heart disease. Anderson had been involved in the automotive hobby his entire life and was one of the founding members of ARMO, an active member of NSRA, NHRA, Goodguys, AACA and many trade organizations.
