Engine and crankshaft builder Joe Reath along with his wife Dellie operated Reath Automotive in Long Beach, Cal. for over 50 years until it closed in 2006. He was the pioneer in the welded stroker cranks and was known for sponsoring the famous Dunn & Reath funny cars with Jim Dunn that ran at Irwindale and Lion’s Drag Strip.  

Joe was also a founding member of the Road Rebels Car Club in 1937. 

Joe is survived By his wife Dellie. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dellie at this time.
