Cruising Grand Escondido CA
Escondido, CAFriday, September 2, 2016
Cruisin’ Grand Escondido, California started 16 years ago as a showcase of local pre-1974 Hot Rods and Classic cars. It runs every Friday 5-9pm from April thru September.
There is a weekly theme, from Lone Wolves (those who have cars but do not belong to a car club) to local car clubs, to rail dragsters, to Nitro Nite, to Fire Trucks, to Cobra Nite and many more. Cars are judged and a winner is chosen for each week. There is usually at least one live band, frequently two.
The weekly announcer always has a hula-hoop contest and other fun stuff for the kids, as this is truly a family event. I am proud to say that my now 28-year-old daughter could correctly identify 55 through 57 Chevys at 13 years old! I hope you enjoy my first posting of cars from this awesome weekly event.
