1957 Custom Corvette Under Construction

Steve's Auto Restorations ~ SAR

The transformation of this 1957 Corvette is well underway within the Northwest walls of

Steve’s Auto Restorations located in Portland Oregon. S.A.R.’s in-house designer David

Brost was given the task of rendering the collective design. The tired and raged body is

receiving the full deluxe treatment which began with replacing the entire nose of the car

from the cowl forward. The more streamlined design utilizes ’53 – ’55 windshield frame

and trunk lid. The doors have been capped off and custom trim fabricated making this a

true roadster. Custom front and rear bumperettes have been fabricated with the front

bumperettes serving as the turn signal housings. The one-off hood incorporates a stinger

style scoop, the only visual hint of the supercharged Cadillac LSA V8 lurking below.

The whole package rides on a round tube chassis with C5 suspension up front, C4

suspension following behind and custom one-off machined 18” aluminum wheels to

connect everything to the pavement. The interior features custom machined steering

wheel and pedal assembly that will carry the overall theme to the interior. Once the body

details are completed this custom Corvette will be bathed in a pearlized version of

Panama Yellow.
