Densham's car plowed into the sand traps and came to a stop in the safety net. "Tore up a perfectly good race car," Densham said, "Don't know what happened. It's great that the Safety Safari is here and they do what they do.” Thankfully he was checked and released by NHRA emergency services officials. These “Nitro Harleys” run the ¼ mile in under 6 sec at over 220mph, WOW!Funny Cars celebrate 50 years old.The tradition is that on Sunday, before drivers are introduced, the fans are invited to walk the track. The eager fans are joined by several drivers.
