The IDIDIT Car Show & Open House has a reputation as one of Michigan’s best auto events; the 2019 iteration, with scrupulously polished cars gleaming in the sunlight and plenty of auto enthusiasts enjoying the summer’s final days, more than lived up to the hype.

367 registered vehicles showed up to the event, alongside a sizable complement of unregistered autos. IDIDIT’s Tecumseh headquarters played host to this fleet of classic cars for the day of Sept. 14. Facility tours, vendor displays, food trucks and a live DJ added to the entertainment, which was further enhanced by the presence of celebrity guests, a charity raffle and a bounty of awards.

“We want to thank everyone who joined us for the 2019 IDIDIT Car Show & Open House,” said Trever Cornwell of IDIDIT. “From the weather, to the atmosphere, to the amazing cars and trucks, this annual party is a perfect example of why we all love this industry.”

2018 marked this monumental show’s first year of accepting all makes, models and years of auto, including the classics of yesterday and today. The Best Garage Build trophy was claimed by a car which would qualify in anyone’s definition of classic, however: A captivating 1950 Ford Coupe owned by Jim Brewer of Pinckney, Michigan.
