New Hampshire Motor Speedway played host to two exciting events this past weekend - the Sylvania 300 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race and the Northeast Collector Car event co-sponsored by MotorHead Media. While Joey Logano won the cup event, the five collector cars on display were winners with the assembled crowd.
About 80,000 people were in attendance for the Sylvania 300 race on Sunday, less than usual due to weather, which was rainy and wet, but as our on site reporter, Taylor Kelly, observed, there was a lot of action on track both Saturday and Sunday. "There was lots of crashing and lots of lead changes and side by side racing, especially Saturday during the modified race," Taylor reports.
The car display was very well received by the NASCAR fans. "We were definitely one of the biggest draws on the midway," says Taylor. "Everyone was thanking us for having beautiful cars there, something they never see at these events."
All of the Collector Car winners were in attendance, most with family, and the beautiful vehicles really stood out for the appreciative audience. Congrats again to the winners!
