While there are many things that shaped American history, there is nothing like a cool car that can bring anyone back to a fond memory of days gone by. This statement definitely resonates for Veteran NASCAR crew chief and car lover Ray Evernham, who alongside the original ‘gear-head’ businessman himself Rick Hendrick, have given automotive fans everywhere the opportunity to step back in time to when a car meant more than just transportation with AmeriCarna.
Currently known as one of Velocity television’s most popular automotive reality shows, where Evernham travels across the back roads of America to find the cars that have “not only shaped the life of the car owner, but America itself,” said Evernham. Today the AmeriCarna brand has quickly become a well known part of car culture and you can own one of these famous pieces of AmeriCarna history thanks to Ray Evernham Enterprises. That’s right, you have have heard the story behind these pieces of automotive artwork and now you can own your own.
Restored in the garage of Ray Evernham Enterprises, the AmeriCarna line features iconic cars like the:
1934 Ford 5-Window Coupe:
Acquired by Evernham one year ago from the Bonneville land speed record holder the late “Wild” Willie Glass, this 1934 Ford 5-Window Coupe has a stock body and an ultra-rare 21-bolt V8 Flathead engine. This combination of a stock body and upgraded engine is representative of a 1950s hot rod.
1930’s “Big Car” Racer:
This “Flat Tail Big Car” is representative of a mid-1920’s to mid-1940’s dirt track car that was built using pieces of original cars from that time period including a straight-6 Flathead engine (Chrysler) with three Holley carburetors, 2-speed manual transmission, rear and front buggy spring suspension, Halibrand quick change rear end with Ford tubes and rear drum brakes.
“AmeriCarna started out as my storied love for automobiles, and now all I want to do is share this passion with other automotive aficionado,” said Evernham.
