
Mid America Motorworks to sponsor 60th Anniversary Celebration of America’s Sports Car
Effingham, Ill. (November 12, 2012) – Mid America Motorworks, the world’s largest supplier and manufacturer of aftermarket parts and accessories for Corvettes, will sponsor the 60th Corvette Anniversary Celebration put on by Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA March 1-2, 2013. The two-day celebration features entertaining events and educational exhibits, including expert seminars and an historic Corvette display.
The event will kick off Friday March 1, 2013 with seminars during the day and the Corvette 60th Anniversary Gala beginning at 6:00 p.m. The festivities include cocktails, dinner, a memorabilia auction and panel discussion with some of the biggest names in Corvette history, who will answer the question, “What does the Corvette mean to you?” Mike Yager, founder and Chief Cheerleader of Mid America Motorworks, will be participating in the Corvette Values Seminar and evening panel discussion.
Saturday will bring a whole new assortment of events, including the Corvette Day Car Show and seminars. The first 60 Mid America Motorworks customers who register for Corvette Day will have exclusive parking in the Mid America Motorworks Corral located on the top floor of the museum’s parking structure. The Mid America Motorworks Corral is limited to the first 60 Corvettes in honor of the 60 year celebration. Registration for Corvette Day is limited to 500 Corvettes and registrants. In addition to the activities, Mid America Motorworks will be providing the 500 attendees with a limited edition medallion commemorating Corvette’s 60th Anniversary. This commemorative medallion features the 60th emblem and is only available on Saturday March 2, 2013.

Inside Petersen Automotive Museum, a Corvette exhibit will be on display to the public from February 27 to March 31, 2013. It will feature the rarest and most influential Corvettes of every generation, such as the 1960 CERV I and the 1964 “World’s Fair” Corvette from Mid America Motorworks’ MY Garage Museum Collection.

The Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity. The Museum is located at 6060 Wilshire Boulevard (at Fairfax) in Los Angeles, California 90036.
