Ya gotta go to the Pumpkin Run they said, the Show is HUGE they said, you don’t know what you are missing they said, and so my Son (Martin), and I went to the 20th annual Pumpkin Run Car Show, and barely one quarter of the way into the Show, the skies opened up, and brought an abrupt end to a Show that was EVERYTHING the people who convinced me to go to it, said it was. The Show is held on the site of a former Auto Salvage Yard, known as Flemings Auto Parts, and includes a tremendous Show Field, a really nice sized Swap Meet area, Food Vendors, live Steam Tractors, and weather permitting, a Lawn Mower Tractor Pull contest, plus a live DJ, and just tons of things to see and do. Though the Weatherman’s prediction, unbeknownst to many Show attendees had changed from a 20% chance of rain, to a 70% chance, and that rain having brought the Show to an abrupt end, creating a mind boggling traffic snarl, as hundreds of Show vehicle, and spectator vehicle owners all attempted to leave with their vehicles via the two exits from the Show, the 20th Annual Pumpkin Run Car Show, up until that moment, the Show was a blast, and I hope I can make it down there next year again.
