Ron Newman's 1967 Chevrolet C-10 short bed pickup. I did all the work in my home garage, including the wiring and paint work. I chopped the roof 3", built a tilt nose(electric), installed a Chisom front independent front suspension. It has a 1996 Corvette LT-1 engine which is fuel injected, a 4L60 4-speed automatic trans, and a 12 bolt rear with 3:73 gears. I logged about 15,000 miles since I built it, drove to York, PA, Burlington, VT, Lake George NY, with no problems of any kind. I get 23.5 MPG on the highway and it still lights the tires if I wish. I feel that street rods are meant to be driven.
I'll be 70 years old next month and plan to keep on working on my truck to make it even better! Hot rods forever!
