A small group of friends from New Orleans, Louisiana got together in 2007 and set out on a 2,000 mile journey to the Bonneville Salt Flats in hopes of setting a land speed record. They transformed a 1998 Lincoln Mark 8, that was completely destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, into a formidable race car; thus, becoming “The New Orleans Race Team”.

This is their story of “loss and redemption in the midst of violence and tragedy, and of a community struggling to redefine its identity.”
