The legendary racetrack at the Bonneville Salt Flats, once 13 miles in length, has shrunk to under 8 miles as a result of salt erosion. Without help, this land speed landmark will soon be no more, so take action now!
The SEMA Action Network (SAN) encourages all those concerned with the future of this irreplacable track to urge the U.S. Department of the Interior to help finance a 10-year restoration program intended to dramatically increase the amount of salt pumped onto Bonneville. The Secretary of Interior is responsible for choosing to allocate funds from the department’s FY 2020 budget to the Restore Bonneville program.
You can have an impact on this decision by voicing your support for this effort! Go to the SAN website for an overview and official contact information.
