Returning back over the border to the VARGO DRAGWAY ANNUAL FALL CAR SHOW. Missed last year due to the storm but had to return. Left in the early morning darkness with tons of deer roaming the countryside. After my prior visit this was the place to be. By 9:00 there were over 400 cars on the track and by 11:00a.m. it was filled end to end both sides of the mile strip.

This year featured Rocky Pirrone and his Boss Hydro 1933 Willys AA/GASSER and KS PITTMAN AA//GASSER recreation, Freddy Bear and the S&S Race Team AA/GASSER. Rocky’s Dad ran at this track back in the late ’60’s. Jeff Lear had his twin engine dragster, along with a host of other Historic Vargo Cars. Vargo Drag Strip was run from 1960, with the help of The Lehigh Valley Timing Association, before closing in 1969.

The current site is run by AG Farms and is protected from development and preserved by Bucks County. Proceeds benefited Boy Scouts of America Troop 610 & Bedminster Regional Land Conservancy. Great ride thru the farm country with the 54!!
