So, you want a really BIG show? They don’t get any bigger then the West Coast Custom Rigs Super Show & Drags.
Over 200 Big Rigs filled the pits at the Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, CA. Their goal was to have a truck show where truckers could show off their mind-blowing rigs and, at the same time, enjoy this day of appreciation. A day not only fun for truckers, but for everyone in their family as well. Many different activities were included to keep folks entertained such as raffles, games, face painting, swap meet, and live music. Their idea of games included, a working truck contest, tow truck contest, hot dog eating contest, Jake brake contest, Train horn contest, a light show and, of course, ¼ mile drags.
These trucks are not the working trucks you see on the road every day. These trucks have customized interiors, detailed engines, special paint and graphics, big chrome/polished wheels, and the trailers are finished to perfection. Some have 100s of lights all over the cab and trailer. At night they had an amazing “Light Show” where the lit trucks drove around the parking lot. Another feature at the event were the NHRA Jr. Dragsters, these are powered, miniature dragsters driven by kids between 8 and 17 years old. They drag raced each other on the track to determine a winner. They provided quite a contrast to the Big Rigs! The drag racing trucks put on a great show. Their burnouts were awesome! One of the special trucks build just for drag racing came all the way from Canada.
The West Coast Custom Rigs Super Show & Drags has chosen their charity for this event to be Shriners Hospitals for Children. This show provided a full day of good family entertainment. I look forward to the next West Coast Custom Rigs Super Show & Drags.
Thanks for the Show!
