Woodbridge, New Jersey

Tonight was the first in a series of three Main St Cruise Nights in Woodbridge N.J., and despite earlier dire forecasts for the evening, by Wednesday, June 18th, the forecast had changed, and other than it being a bit warm and humid, clear skies prevailed for the entire evening. The participant turnout was good, filling all but a handful of the available spaces for the vehicles on display, with some participants arriving as early as 3:00 P.M., a good three hours before the official start time. The Woodbridge P.D. closed Main Street at around 5:00 P.M., possibly due to the large number of early arrivals, and so the early birds, and the rest of us, got an extra hour to enjoy the festivities. The vehicles on display covered a wide range of eras, from a reproduction Curved Dash Oldsmobile, to some from built in the early 2000’s. Chuck Leonard provided both the commentary and musical entertainment, and the folks from a local store on Main St, Carpet Maven, handled the vehicle owner sign-in, Trophy presentations, and 50/50 Raffle drawing at the end of the evening.
