This was the first of three Cruise Nights scheduled to take place on Main St in Woodbridge New Jersey, and the turnout was overwhelming. There were participant vehicles double parked on Malon St by 3:30 P.M., and unlike past years, the Woodbridge Police forced those vehicles to move, along with any in a ‘No Parking’ zone. While traffic flow concerns are understood, and were cited, local law enforcement was not the least pleasant about their assigned task, and some disgruntled participants were heard saying they won’t attend future events due to the way they were treated.
Pre-Showtime events aside, the final count of participant vehicles was in excess of 200 vehicles, of all makes, years, and models, stock production, and many sporting degrees of modification.
The majority of the event was calm, with a capacity crowd of spectators at the event, and Trophy presentations, and the 50/50 winner announcements commenced at around 8:30 P.M., with the final Trophy awarded a little past 9:00 P.M.
The local law enforcement herded the participants off Main St within a short time after the last Trophy was awarded.
