On Sunday, September 11, 2011 the Bay Shore Rodders hosted their annual Belmont Shore car show. Belmont Shore is near Long Beach California and is a great site for a car show as it's just a couple of blocks from the ocean. This years’ event was dedicated to those who lost their lives in the 9/11 tragedy as well as the brave first responders and those in the armed forces.
I arrived at 5:30 a.m. in the pre-dawn morning to get in line and watched as the parade of cars drove by to get in line; that was a car show all by itself. Oh yah…forgot to mention that while waiting in line the Bay Shore Rodders come by and serve up donuts; now that’s what I call service!
The day started off cool and stayed in the upper 70’s for “just right weather”. Over six hundred classics and hot rods were parked on the streets, side streets and local business parking lots and the heavy pedestrian traffic flowed through the town throughout the day. This is a great car show which I look forward to every year and I’ve yet to be disappointed.…..enjoy the pictures!
