Lucky number thirteen was the biggest and best yet for the Lone Star Rod & Kustom Round Up held in Austin, Texas on April 4-6, 2014. This show has grown expansively over the years and shows no signs of slowly down in the future. The Round Up is an event like no other and all of Austin welcomes the thousands of hot rods and customs as well as the tremendous crowd of car culture enthusiasts to this annual pilgrimage.
Hot rods and customs go hand in hand with music so the event is in part a live music festival too. The stage is home to the best musical entertainment in the industry and complements the show very well as spectators check out the acres of cars. Amid these awesome hot rods and customs you will find some very talented artists and pinstripers and a vast amount of unique vendors. Each day some brave souls mount their homebuilt iron horses and take to the Round Up’s infamous dirt oval for the mini-bike races. The swap meet has expanded with the event too, so you should have no trouble finding that hard to find part or a new project while combing through the aisles of the swap meet.
The fun continues each day after the show at places like Top Notch Hamburgers, The Continental Club, Austin Speed Shop and other places around Austin. There is always a full schedule of things to do and places to go while you are in town for the show.
