Key Food Appreciation Day

The local Key Food market had its first 'Appreciation Day' on Sunday. They did a truly decent job of it also. There was some good food available, a good number of vendors were present and there was a terrific turn-out by the Fire Department. Plus that, quite a few cars turned out for the Car Show portion of the day . . and they were handled well by a savvy group of guys. Two Corvettes and a Camaro that were done by our own 'Early Vette Shop' showed up. Bob Walsh owns the Camaro and Mike Kolar ('67 Roadster) and Tommie Murante ('63 Split Window Coupe) had the Corvettes plus one other friend, John Cantelmo, brought his green '68 Corvette. I was impressed by a friend's (Chris Donatone) orange Dodge Charger. Something you do not see too often around this area are early Hudsons. One fellow, Jim Hicks, brought a '54 2 door hardtop Hudson in beautiful condition. I hope to see him at a few more events around the area

These are just a few of the magnificent vehicles that showed up for this Key Food Appreciation Day. It will definitely be on the calendar for next year.
