21st Annual El Segundo Main Street Car Show

If vintage cars, live music, great company, awesome restaurants, breweries, cool merchandise are the way you want spend a Saturday afternoon, then you should have been at the El Segundo 21st Annual Main Street Car Show August 18th, 2018! It was open to all makes & models of cars and trucks and they lined the quaint streets of downtown El Segundo. El Segundo is also home to Hot Wheels and they are celebrating their 50th Anniversary. The weather was clear and sunny and the tree lined streets provided good shade. To say the City of El Segundo hasn’t changed in the last 50 years would be a gross exaggeration. This comfortable, quaint vintage town of 16,000+ looks much the same as it did years ago. The high rise buildings are on the East side along Sepulveda, the West side is the Hyperian Water Treatment Plant and the Pacific Ocean, to the North is L.A. Airport, and the Chevron refinery occupies the South side. Main Street downtown looks like a 60’s era movie set. Spectators and participants enjoyed vendors showing their wares, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, live music was provided all day. Great food was available along Main St. If you haven’t seen this unique city, it is worth a visit. Thanks for the show!!
