The 37th Annual Great Labor Day Classic

The best way to enjoy this event is to stay in the Fair Grounds for 3 days with your classic car or hot rod along with your trailer or motorhome. So you can watch from the comfort of your motorhome as these cool hot cars cruise around a 1.25 mile cruise route into the night. This is a camp-out like none other. Over a 170 motorhomes/trailers found a great spot to enjoy the view. Families & friends that may not have seen each other for a year or more, reunited for 3 days of cruising, good food, visiting with old friends, making new friends, checking out some of the vendors’ offerings, and generally relaxing.
“The Great Labor Day Classic” marked its 37th year. The event continues to be one of the largest and longest running events in the nation and one of a few that can offer non-stop cruising at the 150 acre Costa Mesa venue.
The show is open to American made vehicles to the year 1987 and all VW’s 1979 and earlier including Bugs, Buses, Ghia’s, Squarebacks, Notchbacks and Fastbacks.
Things to do during the event included, checking out a nice selection of new and vintage trailers, a 1.25 mile cruise route, and 2 big 50/50 drawings. On Sunday over 27 awards were presented to deserving cars. This year the Great Labor Day Classic is supporting the Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station. They strive to be the leading force in assisting and supporting the military men and women who have so bravely served and sacrificed for our country.
