The Antique Automobile Club of America - Richey Region hosted a charity car show for Autism; 'AUTOS FOR AUTISM 2013' in downtown Tarpon Springs, Fl.

The city of Tarpon Springs closed their downtown streets to host this event. It was a judged show with all classes of cars, trucks and motorcycles. This Show will benefit 'Autism Speaks'. Trophies, gift baskets, door prizes and goody bag items were all donated for this event.

A multitude of vehicles occupied the main street, E. Tarpon Ave, for a few blocks to N. Ring Ave plus the side streets. This allowed the accommodation of the many expected vehicles. An estimated close to 200 vehicles took over the area.

Shows like this are very enjoyable. I tend to meet new friends every show. Please note the outstanding maroon '51 Chevrolet custom business coupe (Wild Cherry) belonging to Sam Cannova. Photos include the dash and interior plus the worked hood. Also at this show was Mr. Bill Smith from New York. He has owned that pristine '37 green Ford pick-up truck for 57 years. It started off as shown in the older picture. Also included in these fine cars is a white 1935 DeSoto coupe belonging to Curt and Sue Lond. There is also a fine maroon 1951 Mercury custom that truly stood out.

Many fine vehicles were represented this day as the photos will bear out. It was a great day, the cars were plentiful, the crowd was heavy and I'm sure the show did well!!  Don
